The short version
Until we publicly lift this NDA, everything you see and do inside the closed alpha stays inside the closed alpha. No screenshots, no clips, no streams, no detailed write-ups. You can say you're a tester; you can't show or describe what you're testing. When we lift the NDA, we'll say so clearly and this all ends.

1. Who this agreement is between
This agreement is between you and Shadow Dance Studios ("we", "us"). It applies from the moment you accept it, and acceptance is required before closed alpha participation is linked to your account — whether you bought Alpha Access, subscribed as a Patreon, or redeemed a code we gave you.
2. What's confidential
"Confidential Information" means everything about the closed alpha that we haven't published ourselves, including:
- The alpha build itself, and anything captured from it — screenshots, video, audio, streams, and text transcriptions of what's on screen.
- Gameplay systems, mechanics, numbers, formulas, and how anything in the game actually works.
- Unreleased content: zones, quests, story, characters, items, skills, creatures, and art.
- Bugs, crashes, performance behaviour, and anything else about the build's technical state.
- Anything shared in tester-only or supporter-only channels, including #supporter-leaks and dev previews posted there.
- Login credentials, download links, and anything else that provides access to the build.
3. What you agree to
- Don't publish it. No posting, streaming, or sharing Confidential Information anywhere public — social media, video platforms, forums, public Discord servers, or press.
- Don't share it privately either. Confidential Information stays within official tester channels. Telling a friend outside the alpha what's in the build is a breach, even one-to-one.
- Don't share access. Your alpha access is yours alone. No sharing accounts, builds, or download links, and no letting someone else play on your access.
- Report leaks, don't spread them. If you find Confidential Information published somewhere, tell us rather than reposting or linking it.
4. What you can say
- You can say that you're a Vestra Coda closed alpha tester.
- You can discuss anything we have published ourselves — the website, public Discord announcements, devlogs, trailers, and public posts. If we showed it publicly, it isn't confidential.
- You can discuss Confidential Information freely inside the official tester channels, with other people who are under this same agreement.
5. Your feedback
The point of a closed alpha is your feedback, and we want all of it. Feedback, bug reports, and suggestions you give us can be used by us freely — in the game, in our planning, and in public communication — without payment or attribution. Your feedback about the alpha is itself covered by this NDA until the NDA lifts: post it in the tester channels, not publicly.
6. How long this lasts
This agreement applies until we publicly lift the alpha NDA, which we will announce clearly on vestracoda.com and in the official Discord. We expect to lift it well before launch — closed alpha secrecy is a phase, not a lifestyle. Information that we still haven't published when the NDA lifts (for example, unreleased story content shown to testers) stays confidential until we publish it or say otherwise.
7. If this agreement is broken
If you breach this agreement, we may remove you from the closed alpha and from tester-only channels, and we reserve the right to pursue any other remedy available to us in law. We'd rather never do any of that: if you're unsure whether something is shareable, ask in the tester channels first — an honest question costs nothing.
8. What this agreement is not
This NDA covers confidentiality only. Playing the game is covered by the Terms of Service, and handling of your personal data by the Privacy Policy. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything, in either direction, and nothing here limits any right that cannot lawfully be limited — including reporting unlawful conduct to authorities.
9. Your acceptance
We record which version of this agreement you accepted and when, against your account. If we materially change it, we'll publish a new version and you'll be asked to read and accept it again; your previous acceptances stay on record exactly as they were.
