Acceptance of Terms
By creating a Shadow Dance Studios account, downloading, installing, or playing Vestra Coda, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, don't use the service. It's that straightforward.
Early Access Disclaimer
Vestra Coda is currently in early access development. This means:
- The game is not finished. Features, content, balance, and systems will change — sometimes dramatically.
- Character wipes may occur. During early access, we may need to reset progress to test new systems or fix critical issues. We'll give as much notice as possible, but wipes are a reality of early development.
- You may encounter bugs, crashes, and incomplete content. That's the nature of early access, and your feedback helps us fix it.
- Features shown on the roadmap or discussed in development updates are goals, not guarantees. Timelines and scope may shift.
By participating in early access, you acknowledge and accept these conditions. You're helping us build something — and we genuinely appreciate that.
Account Responsibilities
Your Shadow Dance Studios account is yours. You're responsible for keeping it secure.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Do not share your account credentials with anyone.
- Do not sell, trade, or transfer your account to another person.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@vestracoda.com.
Code of Conduct
Vestra Coda is a shared world. Treat it — and the people in it — with respect. The following are prohibited:
- Cheating: Using third-party software, bots, macros, or exploits to gain an unfair advantage.
- Harassment: Targeted abuse, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or any behavior intended to harm or intimidate other players.
- Exploitation: Deliberately abusing bugs or unintended game mechanics instead of reporting them.
- Real-Money Trading (RMT): Buying or selling in-game items, currency, or accounts for real-world money outside of official Shadow Dance Studios channels.
- Impersonation: Pretending to be a Shadow Dance Studios staff member or another player with malicious intent.
We reserve the right to take action against accounts that violate these rules, up to and including permanent termination.
Intellectual Property
All content in Vestra Coda — including but not limited to art, code, music, lore, game mechanics, UI design, and written material — is the intellectual property of Shadow Dance Studios. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any game content without our explicit written permission.
Player-created content (such as screenshots, videos, and streams) is encouraged and permitted for personal and non-commercial use, provided it includes attribution to Vestra Coda and Shadow Dance Studios.
Virtual Items & Currency
Any virtual items, currency, or cosmetics you acquire in Vestra Coda are licensed to you, not sold. They have no real-world monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash. Virtual items are subject to change, modification, or removal at our discretion, particularly during the early access period.
Purchases of virtual items or currency are final. Refund requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
Termination
We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, the Code of Conduct, or engage in behavior that harms other players or the integrity of the game. In cases of severe violations, termination may occur without prior warning.

Limitation of Liability
Vestra Coda is provided "as is," especially during the early access period. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shadow Dance Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the game or related services. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of virtual items, or inability to access the service.
We make no guarantees about uptime, data persistence, or feature availability during early access.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service as Vestra Coda develops. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the game launcher and on our website. Continued use of Vestra Coda after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
